Hello Everyone and Welcome to the New School Year.
I’d like to introduce myself, my name is Don Reid, and I am the new principal of J. Alfred Laird Elementary School. I am very excited to be in the beautiful Columbia Valley and have the opportunity to live and work with the people of this area. I have been involved in education for the past 33 years as either a teacher, an Assistant Principal or Principal. My past two years have been at a high school, with the previous 5 years have been at a French Immersion K-7 school.
I have had the pleasure of meeting the staff here at Laird and can say that they are a very talented and enthusiastic group. I look forward to our time together and working with them throughout the year. They were a big part of the development of the School Success Plan that we will be following this year. My goal is to have open communication with all our stakeholders and to make this a very successful year for everyone.
