We know that students thrive when they see their caregivers actively involved in volunteer opportunities at their school. In order to be a volunteer, a Criminal Record Check is required. It is FREE and valid for 5 years.
Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP) has implemented a new applicant-based online service (eCRC) using the mobile BC Services Card as electronic identity verification (EIV.). A form is also available at the school if you prefer paper to online.
Please go to the following website if you require a new criminal record check:
Website: https://justice.gov.bc.ca/criminalrecordcheck
Access Code: Please contact the office for the code
To log into the new eCRC system, applicants must first ensure their BC Services Card is activated by having their identity verified. Identity can be verified by video or in person.
In addition, school volunteers are required to attend a Volunteer Orientation Session, which is held in early October and again in January of each year. In the orientation, we will review the Child Abuse Reporting Protocol, as well as the Volunteer Handbook 2022 2023.
