Intensive French program

In addition to Core French instruction provided to all students in Grades 5-7, J. Alfred Laird is pleased to offer an Intensive French program to students in grades 6 and 7 in the Windermere Zone. This program provides an intensive approach to oral language acquisition. Students in grade 6 receive 60% of their instruction in French. In grade 7, 20% of instruction is in French. More information on the program can be found here.

Entrance into the Intensive French program is by application only. We only have the capacity to accept 28 students each year. If there are more applicants than spots, a lottery for places will be held, and students who are not successful will be placed on a waiting list.
